I got my first guitar when I was 10 years old. But I became really hooked on the guitar first when I bought an electric guitar at the age of 13. It was love at first sight! My guitar heroes was mainly Jimi Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore and Ulrich Roth. What these gentlemen have in common among other things is Fender Stratocasters and Marshall Amps. It was an easy choise. I’ve used them ever since.

I do like the sound of single-coil pickups. They’re very singable and you can get different shades out of your tone if you try. I’m not too keen on humbuckers. Both my Marshall heads are from -73. This is before master volume was invented. They sound great, but they’re LOUD ;-)

I guess I was around thirteen when Peter and I formed a band called Frenzy. Tvärdrag was the next band we both played in, and at that time we where under heavy influenses of Deep Purple (to say the least). Later on Peter fixed me the guitar job in Bob Cats. This was sort of a rockabilly showband. I guess I didn’t blend in too well with my roaring Marshalls… Peter went on to Jerusalem and I’ve played in loads of bands over the years: Roxs, Refug, Date, Raka Gatan, Kraft, And If You Look To The Left You Can See Mars, Slight Return, Spelab, Bahnhof Zoo, The Existence, Take Cover, Time Machine and Tunk.

So now Peter and I are back in the same band again. You could say it’s a NEW BEGINNING.
